Western Conference Playoffs- First Round

LA Lakers vs. Denver Nuggets 4:2

Lakers are Bynum-less; however, they have enough talent to win the series.  AI will win one game for Denver, as he usually does in playoffs. Denver will win another one on the back of Carmelo buy-me-a-drink-and-I-will-drive-home Anthony.

NO Hornets vs. Dallas Mavericks 3:4

This is the close one.  Both teams have a good chance of winning; however, Hornets are not an experienced playoff team and Peja Stojakovic has a history, well documented in Sacramento, of not showing up in important games and that is why the edge goes to Dallas.  It will be a nice redemption for the Mavericks to win the first round as a number seven seed as they lost last year as a number one seed...

San Antonio Spurs vs. Phoenix Suns 3:4

Yes, another upset.  The Spurs made a big mistake by beating the Jazz in their last regular season game, thus getting to play the Suns instead of proven-to-have no-problems-with-beating the Utah Jazz.  The main reason the Suns got Shaq was to beat the Spurs and now they will get that chance.  What a great series it will be.

Utah Jazz vs. Houston Rockets 4:2

What did you think I put here?  My prediction is one game better than last year for the Jazz.  Home or away, the Jazz should have an easier time beating the Rockets this year.  Houston is minus Yao and plus Bonzi Wells... Utah will take that any day.
